7 years ago there was a little girl name was Hope. This is her story. It is a true story so please keep that in mind when you read this.
Hope was a very happy girl that loved everything. She had a happy normal family, that's what she thought. Here daddy was a drunk, her mommy not all there, her sister a slut, and her brother didn't really care. No one knew that when her daddy got mad he would hit her mommy or her. There was a fight every night, but still Hope kept that smile on her face. She would never cry, never show what she really felt.
One day when she got home from school her moms' car was packed up and her sister ready to go. Her mommy was leaving her not evening thinking about what was going to happen to her. She ran after her moms' car wanting to go with so she wouldn't be alone.
Her mom didn't care about her anymore witch sent Hope into a deep depression. All she wanted was to be loved by the ones she loved. She thought her dad would love her more now that her mom and sister were gone, but he still didn't care it was all about her big brother. Her dad made her go to every boy scout function, he wanted her to be one. She soon figured out that if she was going to get her dads love she would have to be what he wanted her to be, a boy. She became one of the strongest kids in boy scouts. Doing anything that would make her dad happy, she became a boy. It made her happy there was no more fighting or her getting hit. She was the best boy she could be. She played football, went hiking, cut her hair short, just to make her daddy happy.
It soon changed her mom came back saying she wanted to take Hope with her. The yelling started again, so did the drinking, and the hitting. Hope stopped crying because when she cried she was hit harder. She decided the best thing to do was to turn to the blade. It felt good when the knife went across her skin it let the pain out. It was like crying she but wasn't hit for doing this. The pain went away every time the blade touched her. She hide behind a smile, never letting anyone in. Making sure people thought she was happy. Repeating to herself never cry you are the happy one just smile and it the pain will go away.
She was dragged to court she went throw three different judges. All of them asking the same thing. Making her chose between her family. She would just set there saying she wanted both. What she really wanted was to be free to be able to cry, to be loved. Hopes mom got her with the first judge. Her mom moved back in and her dad moved out. She thought it would be great having her mommy back but, her mom didn't care where she was or what she did. Her mom didn't see the tears or the cuts.
Hope started doing anything that would people happy as long as they liked her she was fine with it. Just needing to hear I love from someone. ...... |
