Speaks for Itself!

Comments:
Cain: Also my state has fiber optic backbones running through the ENTIRE state, with one of their nodes IN my city, the only reason residents in my city can't access the node is the assholes who run our cableDSL internet have a monopoly.
Cain: I wouldn't say that, considering a lot of what we're using in residential is based around tech that originated in business networks, even if this exact SETUP might not ever be used in residential something similar may one day become possible, but by that time we'll likely be using some form of wireless or cell that provides just as much over the air as our landlines do now, even the gigabit residential lines.
DarkXander: No When i say Gigabit Copper, i mean a Gigabit GBIC Link right into the DataCenter Backbone, not something you will ever have available to residential.
Cain: So is this the docsis 3.1 upgrade my provider's going to do, because that's what speed my provider wants to push on their coaxial copper cable, this year. Or do you mean one of those gigabit 'fiber to your house' that connects inside your house using copper?
DarkXander: Gigabit copper link directly into a multifiber fed Cisco 7507 Core Router
Cain: Isn't that a fiber line, or something of the sort?
