Thanks!
I want to play 'a dragon game' as in, a game that is all about dragons.
I heard of "Day of Dragons" being a buggy mess that didn't compensate artists or backers fairly and is too expensive for what it gives, plus using 'stolen' assets (that they eventually paid for instead of replacing like they promised), so I'm not too keen on checking that out. That's why I thought Chimeraland might be good to try instead.
Istaria is an mmo with actual gliding dragons in it and it's fun as far as grinding goes. The dragons actually look like dragons (though only one kind for some raisin) and has decent customisation, plus is open to modding as an MMORPG.
Spyro is a Spyro game, so I'd play it to play as Spyro. Skyrim is not a dragon game, it just has dragons in it. Being forced to play the biped just to interact with dragons is boring, especially when the extent of that interaction is non interaction.
Now, if YOU were the dragon terrorising the village, THAT'd be the dragon game.
Spore is still pretty good. You can make yourself a dragon and then play any setting you want. But it's not "a dragon game". Chimeraland is supposed to be as customiseable as that but focuses on the 'creature' aspect so I wanted to know if it was worth it.
