I have been with the fandom for maybe 5 months now and I still don't understand a lot.. I have been trying to make friends but it's easier said then done... i have no friends besides the ones I have found through here and maybe a couple other furry sites but, they are just a bunch of words on a screen.. and when I try to get to know and or to talk to someone else in the fandom im just passed over.. I like the fandom I have had a lot of fun but from all the stories I have read this is where the strange ppl like us go to feel safe and know we have friends.... lately I have been getting shut out more and more, so where does one go when the last place to go and feel welcome doesn't want them anymore and there is no where else to go.. just fade maybe, to just sit and fade into complete nothingness... cold and lonely with no one to care or to at least say hi I'm glad your still alive today.. maybe it is my time to fade

I somewhat understand, Meko. Socialization comes rather hard for me. Call it anxiety, or social interaction disorder, or social fears, or irrational sense of self worth, etc... In either case, the few friends I actually have are either on here, or on the big dreaded social network. (Meaning, outside of the internet? I have about... Two? Maybe two friends that I haven't actually seen in years. One of them moved to Africa, so...)
