Soon we will implement caps on instant messaging history now that the system is fully operational, basically the plan is, any IM data older than 5 days will be scrubbed, unless its unread, in which case it will be scrubbed after 15 days. This is to save server space and capacity for growth and the future. So dont expect your IM history to roll forever, copy and paste it out if you want to keep it.
