A year back, my 360 hard drive unormatted itself and I was forced to re format it, deleting everything on it,,,,,,, it also effected my uploads to YouTube since I can't recover the play data and had to delete them as well,,,,,,,,, Post here if you've had similar heart stopping unformatting experiences

I have had this issue myself but thankfully i had all my file data from the day before on a external harddrive and just put it all back on there it just goes to show that making a backup really helps ^ ^

Can't say I ever had that particular issue, but back when I had a Windows 95 machine, files would periodically disappear. It pissed me off when I lost saved games.

Had this sort of thing happen in a programming class. Was working on a project and twice it simply disappeared, totally vanished. An entire C++ solution gone without a trace. Couldn't even find it with a data recovery tool. Wised up the second time and had most of my code backed up.

I just need to remind myself to clear the system cache every now and then
